The Rainhill Trials Redemption

IMG_5347.jpgThe workouts for the Winter 2018 Rainhill Trials have been released and I have the

privilege to be competing alongside some of the best girls in the British Crossfit industry.

As some of you may already know, I previously took part in this competition during the Summer last year (2017) and didn’t do as great as I would have loved to. Despite qualifying in the Rocket category (the top one), my abilities were not as great as some of the other girls who competed alongside me, resulting in me finishing near the bottom of the pack.

I will not be going into detail on the past competition because what is in the past is in the past and I have absolutely no intention of repeating my tragic performance. What is gone is gone and now onto the next. I will make this my redemption.

These workouts are all for the Rocket category for which I managed to qualify for once again, taking 15th place, improving on qualifying workouts by 2 spots.

Revising all these workouts, I do feel fairly comfortable going into the competition and quite liking the look of them. I will be giving them all a go before the competition on Sunday so that I can get a feel for them and start creating some plans in my head on how to tackle each and everyone of them.

IMG_5612.jpgGoing into this competition I have cleared my head from any obstructions so that I can solely focus on performing to the best of my ability. But in the end, I know it’s old and lame but I am going there to have fun and enjoy myself on the day. Also just to add before I finish this lengthy post, I want to thank Dynamic Athlete Programme for amazing programming that is helping me get prepared for this competition and all those future ones I will hopefully compete in.

I will do a follow up post after the competition, no matter what the result is to share with you guys my experiences and how in the end I tackled the workouts.

All the best to those competing on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th in Manchester and see you all there!
